How the strength check works

The checker measures two things: how long your password is, and how varied its characters are. It counts the size of the character pool you've used (lowercase, uppercase, digits, symbols) and estimates the total number of possible combinations. From that, it calculates roughly how long a modern attacker making 10 billion guesses per second would take to try them all. Longer passwords with more character types are exponentially harder to crack.
